The Annapurna Base Camp Trek is another popular trek in Nepal that takes hikers to the base of the Annapurna massif. The trek typically takes around 7-12 days to complete, and starts in the city of Pokhara. The trail passes through rhododendron forests, terraced fields, and traditional Gurung villages, and eventually reaches the Annapurna Base Camp (ABC), which is located at an altitude of 4,130 meters. Along the way, hikers will have the opportunity to experience the local culture and visit traditional villages and monasteries. The trek can be physically demanding, but the views of the Annapurna range and the surrounding peaks, as well as the cultural experience, make it well worth the effort. The trail offers a beautiful panoramic view of the Annapurna range including Mt. Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Annapurna III, Annapurna IV, Gangapurna, Machhapuchhre and Hiunchuli.
